Benchmarking
By keeping abreast of industry changes and having a team of experienced researchers and Mystery Shoppers, we are able to provide insights into how different organizations within the same industry fare in terms of service standards and enable our clients to benchmark themselves against regulations set by government, corporate groups and industry bests.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has approved the national Star-Rating Standard for Tourist Hotels (GB/T14308-2010) and it would be implemented from 01 January 2011, replacing the former Star-Rating Standard for Tourist Hotels (GB/T 14308-2003). This means that new standards are set for the hospitality industry, with emphasis being placed on necessary programs, core products, involvement in environmental protection, emergency handling capabilities, software measurability and last but not least, special features of a star-rated hotel.
This new standard will play an important role in regulating the development of the Chinese hospitality industry. Through our mystery shopping audits and checks, we at MS3 strive to help our clients implement a standard that benchmarks against that of the new regulation and also that of their organisation.
